Mckay has been our manager this season, and although I'm sure that it has been frustrating for him to not be playing, he has made the most out of the situation by taking the opportunity to learn how to play and perform the fundamental skills and tasks that it takes to be a baseball player. Despite the fact that this was Mckay's first year at playing baseball, he has shown remarkarble improvement in his knowledge of and his ability to play the game. We have greatly appreciated Mckay's willingness to be a part of Logan High's Baseball program.
Logan High School's 2008 Freshmen Baseball team are a group of the greatest young men on Earth. They have had wonderful season because they have progressed and improved not only as Baseball players, but as Students and Individuals because of the baseball skills and character traits they have built during this season. These kids are winners in the true meaning of the word not because of what the scoreboard beyond the outfield fence says, but because of the character traits that have been stamped into their hearts, which when all is said and done, mean far more than any baseball game ever will. These kids are awesome, they are classy, they are gentlemen, they are baseball players, they are GRIZZLIES!!!
