Austin Dykstra (First Base)

Austin has been one of the most improved players on our team this year in almost every aspect of the game. He began the season not even being able to throw a baseball within 20 feet of the person he was throwing to (Austinitis as it came to be dubbed) to being able to throw acurately and hard by the end of the season. He is a quick learner and is constantly asking questions and trying to learn more about the game, a skill that most of us, myself included, would do good to aquire. He got very little playing time at the beginning of the season, but as each practice and game went by, he got better and better, and soon enough he had earned him a starting spot at first base which ultimately made our whole team better at each position. Austin has been a joy to coach.
